A Private Photoshoot in Paris, Away from the Crowds

Most photoshoots in Paris follow the same pattern. You meet a photographer at the Trocadéro or on a bridge at sunrise, you pose in front of the Eiffel Tower among other couples and tourists, and an hour later it’s over. The photos are lovely, and they look a lot like everyone else’s.

There is another way to be photographed in Paris: behind a closed door, in a private apartment, with time and a photographer who directs every image.

A tourist photoshoot and a private session

An outdoor photoshoot is about the city. You are in the picture, but Paris is the subject: the monuments, the streets, the light on the Seine.

A private session is about you. The apartment becomes the setting: tall windows, moldings, parquet floors, soft natural light. There are no passers-by, no time pressure, and no need to “act natural” in front of strangers.

Why boudoir?

Boudoir photography is intimate portraiture: lingerie, a shirt, a sheet, sometimes less, always within the limits you set. It isn’t about posing like a model. It’s about photographs in which you recognize yourself, with care given to the light, the poses and the expressions.

Many of the women I photograph had never posed before, and most had never considered boudoir. They come for a birthday, a new chapter, a gift to themselves or to their partner, or simply because they love beautiful images.

What a private session in Paris includes

With the Paris Boudoir Experience, everything is organized before you arrive:

  • a private video consultation and help preparing your outfits;
  • a Haussmann apartment reserved for your session;
  • professional hair and makeup;
  • a fully guided session: I show you every pose before asking for it;
  • a handcrafted album of your photographs, shipped to your home.

You don’t have to find a location, a makeup artist or a photographer. You just keep the time for yourself.

Who is behind the camera

I’m Steve Hubert, a boudoir photographer based near Brussels, about 1 hour 20 minutes from Paris by train. Since 2020, I have photographed more than 350 women in my studio, and my work has been featured in ELLE Belgium and Flair. I work in French, English and Dutch.

Is it for you?

If you’re looking for a classic souvenir of Paris, an outdoor photoshoot will do that beautifully. If you’re looking for something more personal, a moment that belongs only to you during your trip, a private session may be what you had in mind without having a name for it.
