Turning 40

“It was important to me that the outside reflect the inside.”

I wanted to give myself a boudoir experience, even though I had never done any kind of photoshoot before. This one meant a lot to me: I wanted to honor the woman I have become. Turning 40 is no small thing in a woman’s life, with so many changes.

Steve is very committed, and the first thing to remember is the trust he builds and the way he listens to your personal journey, your wishes as well as your doubts. You might think it isn’t easy to let a man photograph you, but Steve puts his talent and his trained eye for photography, posing and light to work with one goal: showing us at our most beautiful, with complete kindness.

It was important to me that the outside reflect the inside. It was a very abstract idea, but I wanted to find every side of myself as a woman in the photos, and the result goes far beyond what I hoped for. I loved the welcome note, which made me feel like the apartment had been prepared just for me. I love the clean decor of the shooting space and all the possibilities it offered (balcony, bed, shower, play of light and shadow…).

I recommend a boudoir shoot to every woman who wants to love herself unconditionally, because in that moment, you connect with self-love rather than with how others see you. I loved it so much, and I’m grateful for the generosity you put into the shoot, suggesting and co-creating poses with me that truly fit my story. The more I look at the photos, the more they bring up a whole range of emotions. When I shared them with the people close to me, the most beautiful compliment I received was: “We recognize the woman you are: sensitive, gentle, determined and radiant.” I really loved daring to approach nudity in its beauty: a mix of strength and vulnerability, the subtlety of seeing enough but not too much. Your artistic approach is unique. Thank you.

The album, at home

“My husband grabbed the album as soon as I got home.”

Thank you again for this incredible work. My husband grabbed the album as soon as I got home, and here’s what he told me (more or less): “It’s absolutely gorgeous, this photographer does incredible work. I’m very lucky to have such a beautiful wife, and these photos prove it. But know that I see you exactly like this every day when I look at you, even in your fuzzy pajamas with no makeup.” That’s it for the sweet emotional moment :).

Very modest, a real challenge

“After about three hours of shooting, I was a little sorry it had gone by so fast.”

Sunday, with a knot in my stomach and my stress at its peak, I met Steve and the makeup artist for the first time for my shoot. I wanted to see myself differently and accept myself as I was. My biggest fear was not feeling comfortable, but when I arrived, the welcome was really warm, the studio was beautiful, and Steve and the makeup artist naturally did everything to make me feel at ease.

As the shoot went on, I relaxed, and I was very surprised at myself. You can really feel the professionalism in the details of every pose, the choice of outfits, the settings… As a very modest person, it was a big challenge for me, and I think I succeeded, because after about three hours of shooting, I was a little sorry it had gone by so fast.

So to all the women who are hesitating: you can trust Steve and his team with your eyes closed. Can’t wait to receive my album! A thousand thanks again, an unforgettable experience.

A birthday challenge

“Steve guides you through every step with humor and professionalism, so much that you play along without noticing the time go by!”

The idea of doing a boudoir shoot came to me a year or two ago, after a conversation with friends. It stayed in the back of my mind, but I never dared to make it happen until very recently. Fear of the unknown, of not being able to do it, of not liking the result probably had something to do with it. And when a hang-up or two gets added to that, it’s a hard step to take.

Still, I decided to challenge myself to do this slightly crazy project (crazy for me) for my birthday. And I didn’t regret it for a second! Steve guides you through every step with humor and professionalism, so much that you play along without noticing the time go by! The result is beautiful, and it has already made more than one of my friends want to do it too 🙂

Afraid I couldn’t let go

“I was a little uncomfortable at first, but Steve put me at ease and didn’t hesitate to show me the results on his camera.”

I had wanted to do a boudoir shoot for a while, but the fear of not being able to set my self-consciousness aside, and of not getting a good result, kept me from taking the plunge. When I discovered Steve’s work and saw how involved he was on his Facebook page, I found the courage to go for it.

On the day, I arrived and Steve welcomed me into a beautiful studio. After a coffee and a tour of the place, we chose the looks I wanted. Then it was time for makeup. Usually I only wear mascara, so it was important to me that it looked natural. The makeup artist really listened and did just enough for the photos to look lovely.

I was a little uncomfortable at first, but Steve put me at ease and didn’t hesitate to show me the results on his camera. I really managed to let go, and as the session went on, the photos got more and more beautiful. Suddenly I realized I had already been there for 4 hours, and that it was now time for the awful part: choosing the photos. I had a hard time choosing, but I think I made the right choice.

It’s an experience worth having, and the atmosphere is really friendly and relaxed. No stress. Let’s be proud of ourselves!

Over the moon

“When I saw the result, I had stars in my eyes, a feeling of happiness and pride.”

Wow, what a day!!! I’m on cloud nine ☁️ I keep replaying every moment, from beginning to end. I went through all kinds of emotions, stress, excitement, doubt… but when I saw the result, I had stars in my eyes, a feeling of happiness and pride, like “wow, is that really me!!???”

You’re a magician! You manage to bring out our sensuality, the beauty that’s unique to each of us. The makeup artist managed to make my eyes stand out and made them sparkling and devastating 😂 You manage to put us at ease and show us at our best! This experience will stay engraved in my memory forever! Thank you so much for this day out of time.

A day just for me

“Seeing myself like that, through your lens, was very moving.”

Since yesterday, I can’t stop smiling. Every woman should try your boudoir experience. The first reason is that I had a whole day just for myself. That alone is worth its weight in gold! The second is that the shoot is a magical moment. It was really enjoyable to pose (and pose, and pose!), much easier than I had imagined. It felt so natural… even if some poses came less easily than others. The last reason is seeing the result. Seeing myself like that, through your lens, was very moving. I felt confident when I arrived that morning; I love my body now. But I didn’t expect to see what I saw. The result is stunning! I can’t wait to receive the album ❤️

So, THANK YOU!!!! Thank you for putting me at ease. Thank you for your professionalism. Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for not judging and for your compliments (I’ll never forget the “Gorgeous!” you said while looking at a photo you had just taken). You have no idea how much good that day did me! Thank you 😍

Not a professional model

“And the result was simply fantastic, I was so proud.”

I am not a professional model and I don’t have a lot of experience in posing (except in the mirror at home 🙂 ). Beforehand, I was both excited and a bit nervous. However, as soon as I opened the door, the big smile of the photographer reassured me.

Steve is a very warm and respectful person. He really listens to what you want, totally respects your wishes and is very discrete, which gives you a very relaxed and safe feeling. What I liked most about the shoot is that Steve really gave good advise on how to pose in order to obtain the best results.

And the result was simply fantastic, I was so proud. Proud of myself that I did the shoot, and proud of Steve that he captured my body so well! My boyfriend was really enthusiastic too, and I am sure I will look back at the pictures when I am old, or will show them to my children « this was mommy when she was younger »!

« All in all, a great experience that actually every woman must have had! »

I never thought I was photogenic

“The body doesn’t change, but the way you look at it becomes kinder…”

For years I had wanted to do a boudoir photo session to boost my self-confidence, but since I didn’t think I was photogenic, I pictured it more like a lingerie ad where you never see my face… When I talked about it with Steve during our first call, he told me there would be that kind of photo, but not only that…

After being selected in a casting call, I told myself it was a sign, that I had to do it and step out of my comfort zone. And boy, was I right to do it! 🤩 Thank you Steve for your professionalism, your humor, your very successful pose demonstrations 🤭 And above all, thank you for the wonderful work you do! Every woman should have the chance to be in front of your lens and see herself in a new light… The body doesn’t change, but the way you look at it becomes kinder… Thank you 🙏

A gift from my partner

“It’s an intimate, delicate moment, and yet he makes it simple and natural.”

I wanted to step out of my role as a mom for a while and find myself again as a woman. To prove to myself that, despite my age, I could still be desirable. The idea of a boudoir session had been on my mind for a year, but I had never taken the leap. The cost was an investment, and other expenses always came before my own well-being. In the end, my partner gave me this experience as a gift.

Before the session, I didn’t really feel apprehensive. I trusted him. Most of all, I hoped to discover myself as pretty and sensual in the photos. During the shoot, I felt relaxed and attentive. I discovered that boudoir photography was more technical than I had imagined, but Steve guides you perfectly. His explanations, his gestures and his demonstrations are clear. His sensitivity shows in the poses he suggests. It’s an intimate, delicate moment, and yet he makes it simple and natural.

This experience strengthened my self-confidence, made me feel beautiful and reminded me that sometimes you have to leave the beaten path, step out of your comfort zone and dare. And then came the reveal of the photos… It’s almost cruel to have to choose among so many beautiful images! They are so delicate, and you look so beautiful in them, that you don’t want to let a single one go.

I’m delighted to have lived this experience and to have met Steve. A huge thank you to my partner for this incredible gift!

Shy, modest, and so proud

“Steve showed me the first photos he had taken, and that’s when something clicked!”

I’ve always had a poor image of myself. Other people’s eyes always made me uncomfortable; I felt constantly judged, and the harshest judge of all was me! I thought I was too short, too thin, that my chest was too small, that there was nothing attractive about me, that I wasn’t pretty, and so on. In short, all my imperfections jumped out at me all the time…

Then one day, a post from Flair magazine appeared in my Facebook feed. The idea of a boudoir shoot had been on my mind for a while, but I had never found a photographer whose work I loved. After reading the article, I looked into Steve’s work, and the testimonials were unanimous: the women who had done a session came out transformed! Plus, I really liked the photos! It was decided, I was going to do it too!

The first contact is by phone, and right away I felt at ease. I told myself I had done the right thing by booking an appointment. Everything was clearly explained in detail, which is reassuring because you more or less know what you’re getting into. A little while before the day, the stress started to set in, and I had a few fears: What if I can’t do the poses? I’m not as beautiful or as “sexy” as the women in the photos… What if I can’t let go? What if I look like nothing in the photos? Maybe this isn’t for me, etc., etc. In short, big doubts, a lot of second-guessing and plenty of small hesitations…

I expected a lot from this shoot: to find myself beautiful, to find myself attractive, to tell myself that yes, I do have what it takes, to regain confidence, to understand my worth and above all to love myself as I am and for who I am. So my expectations were set pretty high.

When I arrived on the day, I felt pretty good. I was stressed, but it was a good kind of stress, the kind that pushes you to go beyond yourself! The hair and makeup session was a truly relaxing moment of sharing for me; I really enjoyed it! And when I looked at the result in the mirror, the way I saw myself had already gently started to change. Was that really me in the mirror? The “femme fatale” side of me that had been asleep was starting to wake up, and I didn’t mind that one bit.

I started to feel real stress when Steve explained the important points: pointed feet, arched back, relaxed lips, etc. I told myself I would never manage to do all that (me, arch my back?! I don’t even know how)… Steve showed me the first photos he had taken, and that’s when something clicked! It turned out I could do it, and pretty well at that! The further the session went, the more relaxed, comfortable and completely confident I felt! I let myself be guided through the poses, ready to try photos I hadn’t even dared to imagine. The result left me speechless, and I have absolutely no regrets about taking the leap!

I expected a session where I would feel uncomfortable, where I wouldn’t dare to let go completely, and in the end the opposite happened! I didn’t really have a clear idea of how it would go, it was a complete unknown, but it was truly a wonderful experience, and I wish every woman could live it one day.

Steve helps us choose the outfits, first asking which are our favorite pieces before selecting the rest. We unfold our outfits ourselves to show them, and that moment of exchange is really nice; it helps build a certain trust. He’s an excellent guide and doesn’t hesitate to demonstrate the poses he wants us to take himself! It helps you picture how to position yourself, and that really helps. He makes you feel confident from the start, doesn’t hesitate to repeat the same instruction 1,000 times (without ever losing patience), and tells us how to reposition a hand or a strand of hair. In short, he’s an excellent coach. He also gives excellent advice when choosing the photos afterward: he explains how one photo could be paired with another to look beautiful in the album, and the result is stunning!

I recommend Boudoir by Steve to every woman who wants to try this experience; you will be truly well taken care of! The makeup artist and hairstylist is lovely; you can see she’s passionate about her work. She manages to bring out your personality through the makeup, which is quite impressive! She told me she thought she had done a makeup look that really suited me, and she was absolutely right: the result was simply beautiful. Steve is also passionate about what he does, and you can feel it in everything: the advice, the photos, the choice of outfits, the layout, etc. Everything is thought through down to the smallest detail to create the most beautiful photos of us! You’re truly involved in the process from A to Z; you feel comfortable, relaxed and not judged. In short, it’s a great moment, and it really does wonders for your self-confidence!

I’m shy, reserved, modest, stressed and anxious by nature (yes, all of that), so needless to say, before the session I was full of stress and doubts, as I said above… And yet, despite all that, I stepped out of my comfort zone, and I’m very proud of it! If you feel nervous or too shy for this, I want to tell you to go for it! Honestly, don’t hesitate. Don’t listen to that little voice telling you that you can’t do it, because you can, and you’ll be proud of yourself afterward. And above all, believe me, you’ll come out of it stronger, glowing, and with a serious dose of self-love on top of that.

I’ll end this testimonial by saying that my whole view of myself was transformed by this session! I walked out with a smile from ear to ear, sparkling eyes and above all, confident! I had a kind of feeling of invincibility. I didn’t care what others thought; I even looked them straight in the eye with my chin up. I was no longer afraid of being judged or criticized. I felt beautiful, sensual, attractive. I now know that I am truly feminine, that I have a beautiful body. I am completely at peace with myself and my body, and I own it without any fear. I LOVE MYSELF, and that is the most beautiful gift I could have given myself… A million thanks for that. Without this session, I would never have realized how pretty I was, how sexy I was, or how much I had the right to love myself as I am.
