Boudoir by Steve is the studio of Steve Hubert, boudoir photographer in Waterloo, near Brussels. Two Belgian women’s magazines sent a journalist to experience a full boudoir session at the studio and write about it: ELLE Belgium in 2023 and Flair in 2020. Here is what they took away from it.
ELLE Belgium: “I tried a boudoir shoot to boost my self-confidence”

Article by Noemi Dell’aira, published in French on ELLE.be on March 14, 2023.
To learn to accept her body better, the ELLE Belgium journalist went through a boudoir session with Steve Hubert. She describes each step: the introductory call, the preparation guide and lingerie advice she received before the session, then the day itself at the studio, where Steve guides her step by step through the poses and her gaze. Stressed at first, she relaxes with each outfit and discovers her photographs with emotion.
“For the first time, I see myself and feel like a woman.”
Noemi Dell’aira, ELLE Belgium (translated from French)

Flair: “Tested for you: a boudoir photoshoot to gain self-confidence”

Article by Manon de Meersman, published on Flair.be on November 2, 2020 (updated September 27, 2021). The article is only available in French.
For Flair, Manon took on a double challenge: posing in lingerie when she had always struggled to love her curves, then writing openly about the experience. She describes the preparation exchanges with Steve, hair and makeup by a professional makeup artist, then a session where she is guided through every pose, with breaks and the freedom to say what she likes and what she doesn’t. She leaves proud of the step she took for her self-confidence.
“He is incredibly attentive.”
Manon de Meersman, Flair (translated from French)
